Big Green Egg's EGGniter Electric Charcoal Lighter with Fan is built to light lump charcoal or hardwood. It uses super-heated air to get the fire going in minutes, so matches and lighter fluid aren't needed.
An aluminum heat shield and a three-setting power system—Off, Fan, Hot—keep the ignition under control. The lighter shuts off automatically and plugs in with a 6-foot (1.8 m) cord.
