Big Green Egg's Half Moon convEGGtor for the XL EGG is made of Big Green Egg ceramic.

Pair it with the convEGGtor basket to create two cooking zones, direct heat on one side and indirect on the other, or set two together for full convection shielding. Combined, the two halves are designed as a burn-free zone stone, maximizing cooking surface, since a convEGGtor's smaller diameter can let food around the edges burn. That makes it suited to cooking large volumes at lower temperatures, such as chicken wings, and when you run two-zone cooking on one half, the other half stays available for cooking without burn risk.

Note that the 5-piece EGGspander Kit's middle level only has room for one Half convEGGtor Stone, given its size.
