Big Green Egg Table Nest

Big Green Egg's Table Nest is a stand that holds the EGG, built to shield the table, kitchen island, or outdoor kitchen build from the heat it gives off. Only the Mini and MiniMax ship with a low-profile Nest meant for free-standing use; every other size needs to sit inside a table, island, or similar enclosure rather than stand alone.

Hot air moves freely underneath the EGG, and the table stays free of burn marks. The Table Nest can be set into a worktop, though it isn't meant to stand on its own and needs a solid, non-flammable surface underneath it.

The EGG shouldn't be set right above combustible material like ground cover or dry wood, even when a Table Nest is used, and combining a granite tile with the metal Nest adds the most heat protection for long or high-temperature cooks over a wood surface. Spills wipe off the stand with a damp cloth, and it's worth periodically checking the area underneath the EGG for any surface deterioration caused by heat transfer over time.
