The Blaze Pizza Stone pairs a high-fired refractory stone, which spreads heat evenly and absorbs moisture, with a stainless steel tray that lifts the stone so hot air reaches it from underneath. Beyond pizza, it also bakes bread, cookies, and other baked goods on the grill.
The frame is commercial quality heavy duty 304 stainless steel, and the stone resists cracking no matter how extreme the temperature swing, having passed both FDA and ROHS standards. Once the grill's cooking grid is removed, the tray rests on the inside ledge of a Blaze Premium LTE, Prelude LBM, or Traditional grill.
The stone also sets on the cooking grids of other gas grill brands and the Blaze Professional LUX, but it does not work with the Blaze Professional Grill. The stone carries a one-year warranty to the original owner against manufacturing and workmanship defects.
