Weber's Slate 28-inch Rust-Resistant Griddle is a natural gas flat-top griddle built around a carbon-steel cook surface designed to resist rust. Three burners spread heat across a 504-square-inch primary cooking area.
Because the cooktop sits close to the burners and wind guards keep them from blowing out, the surface holds steady heat and can climb past 500°F. The burners create separate zones for cooking at different temperatures at once, and because the cooktop has no coatings, metal spatulas and scrapers can be used directly on it.
Side table rails accept Weber Works snap-on accessories so cooking and cleaning supplies can sit within reach, and the cookbox is covered by a 5-year warranty against rust-through and burn-through. An extra-large drip pan on the mid-shelf catches grease from the cooktop.
