Weber's Slate 36" Griddle is a freestanding, cart-style griddle built around a rust-resistant carbon-steel cooktop. Four stainless steel burners put out 48,000 BTU-per-hour across 756 square inches of cooking area, heating the cooktop up to 625°F.
Wind guards keep the burners from blowing out, the cooktop sits close to the burners to hold a steady temperature, and because it carries no coatings, metal tools can flip, press, and scrape it without worry. It runs on liquid propane, with the 20 lb. tank sold separately, and moves on four casters, two of which swivel while the other two swivel and lock in place.
The closed cabinet holds a mid-shelf for storing tools, and one of the two side tables folds down on the left to save space when not cooking. Weber Works side rails take snap-on accessories, and two tool hooks keep spatulas and scrapers within reach. The cookbox, hard cover assembly, and stainless steel burner tubes each carry a 5-year warranty against rust-through and burn-through.
